KNOWN ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS: 1. GAMES NOT BOOTING COMPLETELY DESPITE STEAM ACTIVE: If you are having issues with running games even though Steam is active in the background, try adding "steam_appid.txt" in the game folder. Inside this txt file, the game's steam "appid" should be written. You can get it at steam.inf.db - It's the 1st line when you enter a page of a game. You might need to run the .exe instead of through Steam. But Steam still needs to be active! Enjoy!

I would suggest to just get an updated steam from your computer and move it to your phone. Don't forget to copy the 1.bat file into the dir too.

So I have a wired type-c Gamepad (X-input) connected, I'm also using Ajay's Winlator+steam mod. Gamepad is being detected as usual, also on steam. But it's not working on any steam games (using the pinned comment to launch steam games). Any idea on how to fix this? I just can't stand using winlator with touch controls lol

Thats normal You need to wait. It loads in the background. Its also faster in the C drive.

Did you follow the steps properly? Make sure you are on Wine 9.2 or 9.21. i only tested on those.

Update: The steam link works. It opened a winlator window in my nearby phone. Used the mouse track pad and clicked on the game. Started to launch but the steam in my main device started flickering. It didn't crash but black screen. The task manager is still running. I guess I cooked too much 😅

I was thinking I'd do all purchases, downloads, and installs on a Windows PC, transfer the steam files to the phone, then run winlator and steam in offline mode. Not sure if it's necessary, just seems like it might be faster on lan than on wifi.

Did you figure it out? When you move files around in the winlator file system, you need to refresh the folder for them to appear.
