Look at channel selection once you open the Packet Session. I’m finding that packet RMSs are rare but I hope they will become more prevalent with the popularity of this radio. 73 WY6Y

Thank you for the tutorial. So, using the BTech there was no need to install or use soundmodem or direwolf on Packet Winlink?

That’s right. The Bluetooth KISS TNC handled all of it. You just have to make sure the radio is paired via Bluetooth and you must make sure that you follow the steps I listed for using Digital Mode. This is not the case when using RadioMail in iOS. That is an even more simple process. Thanks for watching and for the comment! 73

I find I need the connection to Winlink on PC as I use the location reports and all the weather download presets that are part of Winlink Express. They are not available in RadioMail. Just the email parts are there. But still useful.

I got it working with WinLink Express over Bluetooth KISS TNC. It was not as straightforward as with RadioMail but it worked. Using the BTECH UV-PRO KISS TNC with WinLink on a PC kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGKTgH2dYt6lrNE

Winlink definitely does offer more features than RadioMail, but I’m curious if I could send a query to the same address as in Winlink and receive back satellite data. Might try that out later. It’s too bad RadioMail does not have the ICS forms. Maybe that will come someday in the future. I really wish that WinLink would open up and allow Mac and Linux connections already. Same for VARA, but I don’t ever see that happening.

Thanks for your video. To clarify, when pairing the UV-PRO with Windows, a COM port is "created" to allow KISS packet communication? Can a sound device be "created" under Windows via the radio settings too?
