I was XM radio channel surfing a few years ago when I stumble upon this song. I'm 64 and most of my music listening has been centered around R&B and Lite Rock. This is an amazing song for both lyric content and song structure. Love this song for what it is saying about the realization of a relationship that just cannot work. Been there done that.
