Love my a5 s-line 3.0tdi quattro cabriolet cvt. Been mapped and drives lovely. Would think about turbo, exhaust and inter cooler in the future. Love the handling in the wet!

Been thinking about a V6 TDI for a while, do you get much trouble with the rear chains on the engines?

2 for 2. 325t km with mine it started or I first noticed. Changed top tentioners and chains (can be done with some swearing and the motor in) that worked for a year or so. Drove for another half a year than sold it. Mate of mine bought a "silent" one with 305tkm. After replacing the oil it started rattling. It appeared the previous owner had thicker oil in there. He did Al the chains and tentioners (motor out). Drove it for half a year to get his "money back" than sold it. Due to the high road tax here in NL.

@@DarksideDevelopments EMP will be through the roof if the dpf was still in place, plus that looks like a gutted unit, one of the sensor bosses is plugged with a bolt :)

I only did a hybrid turbo on my 320D and I service it every 5000km, never mind 7000 miles. 😂 I have a lot of mechanical sympathy. I always let my cars warm up! Always start with smaller hits before running through all the gears. I drive the living piss out of everything and have never had any catastrophic engine failures (touch wood). "Use your brain" 😂

We did not let it go with the huge turbo. Too many compromises. It was better as a daily like this.
