I thought it wasn't bad if you're using it right. The move can block attacks midair and it's not as committed as other characters with their counters, for example. Also, if it ends up breaking, the breaking animation is quick enough to punish certain moves that are otherwise safe on shield due to shield stun.

I remember someone tried to tell me that Pit was a better Falco lol. As a Pit main, I told him this is wrong for several reasons: Falco's moves are more consistently easy to use, his combos are easier to pull off, higher damage output and overall Falco has to work less than Pit. Pit may have a great disadvantage, better burst options and neutral but Falco in the end can mount a better comeback and its a easier to pull off.

Zackray reading Motsunabe’s Falco comes from how you read the flow of Falco’s uptilt, nair, fair, and where you need to go to escape the followup from dair. Zackray got spiked by dair and: •tech-rolled under plat •tech’d in place •intentionally missed tech and went into nair. Zack conditioned Motsunabe to neutral getup with slight shifty movements at ledge IN ORDER to say “You’re at ledge, I’ve got my back to you. Try something. -I’m not anticipating you’re going to roll [because of my positioning] so I’m getting ready to ftilt or bair you on getup or jump.” _______________ Zackray’s plan boils down to three things: •Zack gets to play when Falco thinks he can follow up everytime, regardless of Zack’s evident readiness to properly SDI out/away from combos. •Am I prepared to create space? •Where can I make Falco go?
