Hi Joy. I've been following your videos for some time now. They are entertaining and very informative. Thank you for taking the time to make them. I've used a CPAP machine for over five years, and a few months back, it began making a crackling noise after I increased the humidity setting to alleviate dryness in my mouth. This led to water condensation in the CPAP tube. Once I reduced the humidity, the noise stopped. My heated tube also contributes to solving this issue. There are other causes that can lead to noises. You can find out about them on the Internet.

My husband has used a CPAP machine for 23 years. I get woke up on occasion with the machine whistling, swooshing, all kinds of noise. The noise comes when the seal is not tight on the face and air escapes. I'm so glad Jerry is using the machine. I don't think my husband would be here today if he didn't use it. As long as I have a spare bed or a couch to move to on occasion, I'm good! Loved watching you make your bed and chit-chatting!

Thank you. I don’t think Jerry would still be here either.

My husband recently got one of those CPAP machines after they did a sleep study. I now sleep much better. My sister also has to buy cases and cases of tissue for her allergies so I know your pain. I love the first blouse you wore and the scarecrow quilt will be amazingly beautiful, please take us on your journey to get him done.

We both wear CPAP's. They usually will make noise when we overfill the water chamber by even just a smidgen. The water collects in teh tube and then it makes noise. Usually, we have to pour a bit out of the chamber and hold the hose straight up in the air to drain back into the chamber. Since I hate the motions of doing all that after going to sleep, I always check the machine by turning on after filling chamber, to be sure no noise or bubbling. Hope that helps. We found using distilled water works best. Buy it in baby section at WM as the bottles are better. bottles can be recycled as well as teh Kleenex box :) at recycle center. My hubby uses one big Kleenex for one nose drip and throws away. We go through a lot of it, too.

My husband had one of those machines to help with his sleep apnea but he couldn’t get on with it at all He spoke to his dentist who made him a snore guard, it is like a gum shield which moulds to his mouth, it has done the trick and is not so cumbersome as the machine. Now he feels like a new man.because he is sleeping properly.A few years ago we were staying at a hotel in Arizona as we were leaving the couple who were in the next room to us were exiting their room,the man asked my husband “are you a Brit?” And when he said yes he said “ well buddy you could snore for England!” Very embarrassing but oh so true.Thankfully the dentist has stopped that problem.❤

I have had a CPAP for 13 years. I love it. I sleep 8 hours a nite. I really choke if I fall asleep in a recliner. My hubby has one too and when it begins to make noise I wake him up to adjust the mask. I'm going to take him in to try another style. He is using the nose pillows. I've adjusted to them but it too a while. Joy, I love that pink T shirt with the embroidered butterflies. I wish I knew how to do that. I'm started on a new quilt also. It is a complicated star using foundation paper to piece. I've made several. I listed to the radio when I quilt.

Hi Joy, so nice to see you so soon. The scarecrow quilt is really cute. I was in a local quilt store and they had really nice looking quilt hangers so I asked if they sold them there and the sales lady so they didn’t but I could get them at Home Depot. They were just decorative curtain rods with the rings that have clips on them so you can just clip the quilt to it. They really looked nice and she said they aren’t very expensive. Funny thing is they sell the hang it dang it but all the display quilts were on the curtain rods

My husband wears a Cpap mask. We quit sleeping in the same room because I snored like crazy keeping him awake. I have sleep apnea and I tried three different masks and couldn’t tolerate them. I now use the oral appliance mouth piece for my sleep apnea. No more snoring! We went on vacation and slept in the same bed and his Cpap mask whooshing noise kept me awake.

Could you please tell me the name of the oral device you use. I have a bad snoring problem also. I had the sleep apnea test . However it was not performed like it should have been and insurance company won’t ok another one.

Are you going to use the Scan n Cut to cut your fabric pieces for the Scarecrow Quilt? You should wear a watch to count your steps, lol. You did so many making that bed. I remember when I used to make the bed like that. Now I just throw the comforter on and make sure it's even.
@anneinstx1969Ай бұрын
Debbie - That scarecrow pattern is all pieced. No applique. It's 'How to Build a Scarecrow' that has the applique. Unlikely she would cut the pieces with the Scan n Cut.
@Do-U-Know-me00Ай бұрын
@@anneinstx1969 Yes, you can cut the fabric on a Scan and Cut...even regular quilting shapes such as squares, etc.

Congratulations to the winner of the horses. Joy my husband suffers from insomnia and PTSD from the Vietnam War. He was just a few feet away from a man who stepped on a mine and was killed. My husband was actually knocked unconscious from it and suffers extreme ringing in his ears. He is almost totally deaf in his right ear. I snore so we don’t get the best quality sleep we should. Hubby had cpap machine but I started giving him a fit also and he stopped it. Also did you see the digital measuring device J. Stern showed for measuring armholes and other things?
