This week I am working on the English Paper Pieced Liberty project I am making for my youngest grandchild. It is always lovely to have an excuse to raid my Liberty stash and sit in my favourite chair surrounded by piles of beautiful fabrics. The quilt is looking quite different since the last time you saw it!
It really is the support from my lovely Patrons that allows me to keep this show on the road and I am very grateful to each one of you!
You can join them there for the price of a coffee or a craft magazine and watch the content back to the start of 2019! Look in the feature 'Collections' to find what you are looking for!

My daughter in law Anna has been having a lot of fun making us an official TLHH Pinterest account, which we have just launched! Here we will be posting pictures of all the different creative things I get home to at The Last Homely House - quilt projects, craft projects, garden projects - progress on my cabin... and much more! Follow us there to keep up to date with all of that. We have made a board all about the this quilt, following its progress!
www.pinterest....
Over on my website you will find much more! Here you can shop for some of the things I use in my craft room at The Last Homely House and sign up for the monthly newsletter.
thelasthomelyh...
My daughter Martha and her partner Adam have recently made a beautiful new set of cards for my shop, inspired by all the garden birds that come to visit me in The Last Homely Garden - if you fancy a set - thelasthomelyh...
The music in this video was chosen from Epidemic Sound and is called You are Loved and Perugia.
If you enjoy watching me make quilts - check out this playlist • Fabric, sewing, patchw...
There is always so much going on here and there is more behind the scenes over on Instagram - kateatthelasthomelyhouse.
Thank you so much for joining me here at The Last Homely House - I appreciate each and every one of you! Passing some freshly baked scones, jam and cream down The Lime Green Sofa.
Take care,
Love

Today I shut down all media except for you my Dear Kate. Right now I am stressed over America’s political problems. I need peace, so one thing I did is go to my sewing room, (I had thought I would put away my quilting forever) however now I realize I need it more than ever. Watching you with your hand sewing brings me peace. Perhaps we need to require our politicians how to quilt! Always, Patricis 87💖🦋🥰🇺🇸🙏🏻

I am a 70-year-old grandmother of 12, and just learning how to quilt. I like to stay busy. I still work a full-time job, I knit, have a small photography business on the side, make my own soap, garden, and now, add quilting to it all, in addition to spending as much time with my grandchildren as possible😊 I love watching you do your projects, Kate, and each evening after dinner, I go to my craft room, turn on the television and I "quilt with Kate" awhile. It's the most relaxing part of my day, and a great way to wind down. Thank you for all you do! ❤️

My condolences 🙏 There are several followers who are homebound that follow various KZbinrs. Our foster mum loved watching this channel, too. She always had her pension spent before she got it.😂😂😂 Talking about how she's got plans for this and that. She was a real trooper and finished all her projects for her many grandbabies before she transcended. We fosters demanded where our heirlooms were, and she quipped, raising us should be heirloom enough! 😂😂😂😂 She wasn't wrong because she split up that handmade recipe book amongst us according to our talents! My son still has his coat of many colors!😂😂😂😂 It was said our foster mum transcended while complaining about the waste a quilter had, making a crazy quilt!!!😂😂😂

Hello, Kate! I love that you have not set time limits on your projects. There is no pressure from yourself-or others-to finish them. As always, I enjoyed the clips of your garden intersperse with your dialogue. I was at a quilting retreat in Pennsylvania and visited a local quilt shop. One of the saleswomen was wearing a lovely reversible swing coat with a shawl collar. I purchased fabrics for it and a co-ordinating 3-yard quilt. I have since purchased the pattern and you have inspired me to make a tumbling block pattern for one side of the jacket and perhaps for the quilt as well. Thank you, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦

What a perfect day, Kate! There is nothing better than to spend time with family, and then with a needle and thread. You have such a lovely spot for both! I have two grandchildren who graduated high school and are off to University in the fall. I have spent the past few days working on their quilts, so that they will have them when they leave. My grandson’s is a 16 patch, and my granddaughter’s is large 12” blocks. Easy quilts so I am confident that I can finish them both with time to spare. Enjoy your summer, Kate!

These are going to be lovely, unique quilts, Kate. I'm knitting mitred square blankets in random chunky wool. Five x 200g balls each makes a substantial blanket with a crocheted edge - two of which have kept us cosy during this summer. I take my knitting wherever I'm going to be for a while and a couple ladies came chatting. Short version, they're each knitters, were intrigued, saying they would go search out the method. Good to pass on crafts and encourage others. Thank you for another restful video.

I do love hand-sewing... (I'm sewing the binding on a quilt as I watch you!) - and sewing Liberty is even better, it's not only beautiful but it's tactile as well. :) Love your other channel and I can't wait to hear John's snarky comments on Patreon... :) Love both quilts - they're quite different, aren't they? Both so gorgeous! I miss seeing you and Ant 'building' together so I hope you two have another project in mind! The cabin was soooo much fun to watch and I love all the little details you thought of. xxx

Thank you Kate for your videos, they ve really seen me through a difficult time recently, your voice and surroundings are so calming, I ve upped & renewed my crafting recently, and I m even beginning to sound like you, I keep saying I m really enjoying this, as I pick up another of the many projects I have on the go thanks to you. ( I was from a very crafty background , tho I was the black sheep of the family , I always did a lot of knitting , spinning etc & am not as deft as my sisters!) We were always brought up to finish one thing before we started another!!!! No more!!!!Excuse me , but the quilt you have on the board behind you , for your new grandson, that your son in law chose the colours for, it occurred to me only because that was what I did 50 years ago, was made it into a duvet cover , the back was actually a cot sheet, these days I use cotton sheets to back ,making garden duvets, from Indian block print squares, inspired by you, I just thought would be nice for a little boy, but again excuse me. this is the first comment I ve made on a KZbin so hope it sends.
