Today I shut down all media except for you my Dear Kate. Right now I am stressed over America’s political problems. I need peace, so one thing I did is go to my sewing room, (I had thought I would put away my quilting forever) however now I realize I need it more than ever. Watching you with your hand sewing brings me peace. Perhaps we need to require our politicians how to quilt! Always, Patricis 87💖🦋🥰🇺🇸🙏🏻

My condolences 🙏 There are several followers who are homebound that follow various KZbinrs. Our foster mum loved watching this channel, too. She always had her pension spent before she got it.😂😂😂 Talking about how she's got plans for this and that. She was a real trooper and finished all her projects for her many grandbabies before she transcended. We fosters demanded where our heirlooms were, and she quipped, raising us should be heirloom enough! 😂😂😂😂 She wasn't wrong because she split up that handmade recipe book amongst us according to our talents! My son still has his coat of many colors!😂😂😂😂 It was said our foster mum transcended while complaining about the waste a quilter had, making a crazy quilt!!!😂😂😂

I still work a full-time job, I knit, have a small photography business on the side, make my own soap, garden, and now, add quilting to it all, in addition to spending as much time with my grandchildren as possible😊 I love watching you do your projects, Kate, and each evening after dinner, I go to my craft room, turn on the television and I "quilt with Kate" awhile. It's the most relaxing part of my day, and a great way to wind down. Thank you for all you do! ❤️

As always, I enjoyed the clips of your garden intersperse with your dialogue. I was at a quilting retreat in Pennsylvania and visited a local quilt shop. One of the saleswomen was wearing a lovely reversible swing coat with a shawl collar. I purchased fabrics for it and a co-ordinating 3-yard quilt. I have since purchased the pattern and you have inspired me to make a tumbling block pattern for one side of the jacket and perhaps for the quilt as well. Thank you, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦

These are going to be lovely, unique quilts, Kate. I'm knitting mitred square blankets in random chunky wool. Five x 200g balls each makes a substantial blanket with a crocheted edge - two of which have kept us cosy during this summer. I take my knitting wherever I'm going to be for a while and a couple ladies came chatting. Short version, they're each knitters, were intrigued, saying they would go search out the method. Good to pass on crafts and encourage others. Thank you for another restful video.

We were always brought up to finish one thing before we started another!!!! No more!!!!Excuse me , but the quilt you have on the board behind you , for your new grandson, that your son in law chose the colours for, it occurred to me only because that was what I did 50 years ago, was made it into a duvet cover , the back was actually a cot sheet, these days I use cotton sheets to back ,making garden duvets, from Indian block print squares, inspired by you, I just thought would be nice for a little boy, but again excuse me. this is the first comment I ve made on a KZbin so hope it sends.
