I've been using Petzl for years for hiking, work (plumber), walking the dog in the morning, also walking around the house. My pezl is dying so I'm gonna be ordering this. I was looking at the petzl nao plus but I don't like using my phone with a Headlamp, I like the simplicity of this Headlamp and its ruggedness. Also since my time in the service we used to have flashlights that had different color so I really need my Headlamp to have red . The c charging will be great. Thanks for the video.

You just sold me this headlamp. My HM61R has seen heavy use in the workshop and everything for 3,5 years. I always have fresh batteries on the charger for it. It is a high quality product that has held up great... but it is not ideal up close. Lens is out to the side, not a flood lens, quite uneven up close and color reproduction leaves a lot to be desired. HM70R seem to solve all of this and I just ordered one 🙂

i had HL60 (before lost it :( ), and while it wasnt that heavy, i wouldnt use it for trail running. for everything else, it was damn good light.

Hi bro, I'm thinking of buying a headlamp. I'm between hm65r, hm65r-t or hm70r, which one would you choose to wear on a helmet and work? thx

Would avoid the HM65R-T if you're going to be attaching your lamp to a work helmet. The headstrap wasn't designed for helmet use. There's no vertical strap from forehead to back of the head. It's a pure trail running lamp. No problem if you use the HM 65-R or HM70R for attachment to a helmet. I've used the older HL models for attachment to work helmets and they were pretty snug too. Same headband design as the HM60-R and 70R. And that top strap can also be detached if you don't want to use it or simply want to switch to a trail running light.
