Is the rechargeable battery a proprietary battery pack that only Ledlenser sells?

You ARE going to lose that charging port plug. I own a lot of lights and this is the only light that has an untethered cover/plug for the charging port. It is a terrible design to not have that plug tethered to the light like virtually every other manufacturer does. For this design gaffe, EAGLETAC should have included about 5--10 additional spare plugs with the light. SOLUTION: Cut off a small piece of black, electrical tape and cover the charging port with it. It holds up and blends in well, is reasonably watertight, and cheap.

I like the classic maglites in the background. I still have a mint 6D that I use regularly, and with the proper incandescent bulbs too. No LED drop-ins.

Lol innit. I specifically asked for an 80’s maglite🤷‍♂️ Sorry but the light is just better. It’s warm, and you don’t need to be wearing blue blockers to use it. I would never ruin a maglite like this🤷‍♂️ it’s got a nice warm and creepy glow! Perfect!

You just sold me this headlamp. My HM61R has seen heavy use in the workshop and everything for 3,5 years. I always have fresh batteries on the charger for it. It is a high quality product that has held up great... but it is not ideal up close. Lens is out to the side, not a flood lens, quite uneven up close and color reproduction leaves a lot to be desired. HM70R seem to solve all of this and I just ordered one 🙂

I find Nitecore make some far better performing torches, and they are cheaper too. I found Ledlenser a bit overpriced and under performing in comparison to Nitecore torches. I also find Nitecore has better battery life too. I can get more reach with my Nitecore torch, and at lesser lumens, than I could with the P7R.

Like it but steps down real fast, and why why not use the 4690 like the mach 4690? What I do like is option to use combo beams at same time not available on Marauder II for example.

I would rather have the Olight iMorse. Why? Because it has a much better thought out construction, is shorter and IMO better made. Twist to swtich on, covers USB port naturally and light output is way more than you need.

Love the concept of that torch however according to the charts displayed on the screen, 20 seconds of turbo power in both throw and flood??? How is that actually usable? I f it says 27,000 lm it should run until the battery runs out. (and yes I get the thermal management, I have been making high-power search lights for years)

I got one of these when they first came out to put in my collection. It's well thought out and well engineered. Anyone who's ever tried to recharge anything by hand crank knows how much effort it takes just to get a little power. I think Fenix did an excellent job designing it to include options for recharging by USB and also run off a common alkaline AA battery. Having a super conductor to run on no battery whatsoever is a great idea too. It's a true emergency flashlight that I'm surprised isn't getting more attention.

surprisingly difficult to find any information/videos/reviews on this light... Do you know how this light compares to the nitecore tm12k or wuben x1? I can't imagine the polycarbonate/transparent version of this light manages heat very well.

Love your videos but this headlamp is meh for me. The optisense can only be used with the app and if you reprogram the button it messes up the side buttons and you lose the ability to have just the spot or just the flood. The app needs ability to set individual profiles for each button and to choose only spot/flood the lowest you can set it is 1% so you can't have just flood/spot. It should have the ability right out of the box without needing to modify it with the app to get advertised features. All of this could be fixed through the app but I doubt they ever will.

Problem with LEPs the lack of practicality beyond long distance projection and illumination. I possess the THOR 6, it's only 25% of the time I actually use it for long range illumination, the rest of the time I had to tack on a DYI Convex Lens cap in order to illuminate closer range targets upto 20-20m in distance. LEPs without zoom function have limited day to day uses. Also, lumintop's power button is poorly designed, it's prone to accidental presses even when locked. They could improve upon that by making it recessed. They should take some lessons from Acebeam Terminator M1 design.

how does the beam focus work with this, when you turn the reflector. I turn the reflector to focus a wide or narrow beam, depending if I walk, or want to look at things at a distance.

I read a few things online about color rendering index and one thing I realized is that it isn't about the color temperature which i thought was the whole idea. Since i learned that, I've seen other high CRI LED's at 90+ and even 95+ with different color temperatures.

I bought this light and was surely disappointed. Ive got olight flashlights for half the price that absolutely destroy this light in performance and durability. Its such old tech. It felt light my grandfather's maglight compared to my olights. I highly recommend anyone that is lookinv for a light to give olight a go over this light. I mean they have lights that are half this size and price that blow this light out of the water in power and run time. And i challenge anyone to break an olight. The are almost indestructible and last forever. Ive got several that are daily used and over a decade old

Did that years ago, maglites are built very well and to waste a good light because its incandescent... this bulbs swap just does the trick. Yes more modern lights have much higher outputs (see runtimes) and gimmicks build in. But in the end, for in and around the house, it's sufficient and the batteries also last. Glad I did this
