that's a pretty reductive way of looking at it. They're simply trying to provide a service to a public that wants to feel something. anything. the audience has said "We will give you money if you can actually find something that makes us jaded folk shocked and horrified, so then when we go back to the horror of real life, it won't feel so bad." and they tried. They f𝖚cking FAILED,, but the idea that it's somehow wrong to do something just because it's inherently unlikeable is missing so many points. And even that point would be better applied to a whole lot of other things. don't put "innocence" up on a pedestal. Like the one about how the main cast in mlp g4 are based on girls who all died on the same day? Or on topic that Pooh and his friends are all allegories on mental illnesses. And the grandmother of all them Alice in Wonderland is actually about drugs. It all boils down to people getting insecure they still like things that are for "kids" so if they make it "adult" by making it depressing so they can enjoy it.

Man, Winnie the Pooh is such an insanely innocent character. There are very little characters like him that aren’t monetized to hell or aren’t actually innocent. Winnie the Pooh is just that popular character that you think of every once in a while. Really sad to see him put into a shitty horror movie.

These are some of my favorite animations of Doobus. You can clearly tell that Pooh Bear means so, so darn much to him. It does for me too, he and his friends, the Hundred Acre Wood... they were a lovely part of my childhood, one I always look forward to revisiting. Doobus understands Pooh well... as opposed to bloody Blood and Honey, who could've used anything else for their main killer's mask, and no one would've complained at all. I mean, there's so little point in using Pooh and his friends as the "killers" (more like masks but whatever) at all, and no, I don't consider that hastily made backstory at the start much of a justification either.

Bruh. Your videos of Winnie never ceases to make me cry. I just keep coming back to them and I just keep bursting into tears. He was my childhood and I want to share that with the public how much of a fan I am of Mickey and Winnie the Pooh, but clearly the internet won’t allow that. Algorithms too screwed to allow us to be fans.

Pooh Bear is the most innocent, kindest thing to exist. He doesn't even do a comedical change in character in this episode. He's so beautiful ❤❤

This was a wonderful animation! Thank you for the big grin, and spot on commentary. It really boggles the mind. I get some of the drive for making scary versions of things, but...Pooh? Winnie the Pooh? I ask this of the movie director, not to rag on the folks that made the movie, but as a genuine question: "Are you alright? Who hurt you? Do you need a hug and a jar of honey?"
@katanah319511 ай бұрын
Yeah, exactly. Pooh is like a little kid but even more innocent and makes you feel even worse for making him upset, because he's too wholesome to even *get* upset at you. If you're willing to hurt Pooh or portray him as scary, something is wrong with you and you need a hug.

Man, I didn't think he was going to connect this sketch to the blood and honey movie (should have, but didn't think of it). Amazing.

You know,if they wanted to make a horror movie about Winnie the Pooh, they should just talk about how rough the real Christopher Robin's childhood was. Christopher Robin has said that he felt neglected by his father becuase he spent more time writing about the Christopher Robin that he imagined instead of actually spending time with his son. On top of that, he get bulled quite a bit from it. Thankfully, his life got quite a bit better later on in life.

I love that all of Doobus' videos always have captions with great descriptions and inserts that fit in greatly and in some cases even gives the humor an extra level or oomph. I just hate that, for some reason, every single time I click on a new video the subs are automatically on and 98% of the time they're on screen they cover half of the always incredible animation and take me away from focusing on the superb voice acting. I always feel robbed of fully immersing on my first viewing of all his videos cause they're also short and until I manage to pause or just mid-view turn off the captions, I already got spoiled half of it or even all of it when I'm slow without even fully appreciating the full content. Let's be honest, if captions were an intended part of the experience, they'd be part of the animation and wouldn't cover the characters. Love that they're always there and I'm happy that people with hearing impairments can also enjoy these marvelous creations, also always re-watch afterwards for the extra thingys and jokes added to the subs. But I really am pissed that this is like the 10th video in a row that the subs cover the animation in my first watch so I don't fully enjoy the craftsmanship that unites animation with voice acting without big, black-painted bars covering the scenes. Thank you, KZbin app design team. Thank you for turning caps on without my pre-selection. Thank you for also deciding on black backgrounded, 0% translucent, huge on mobile captions as your standard.
