We met Dave when he was recording this video. He had to wait ages for the crowds to disperse before he could film at Pooh Bridge. Great job, Dave! Well done.

Hi Mary, thanks so much for stopping by and watching! Haha, yeah we stood by the bridge for a couple of hours I think, but completely worth it! Thanks again - hope you enjoyed your day out at Ashdown!

I’ve been to this forest loads of times, also been to Pooh Corner too in Hartfield, where the forest is also. I’ve always felt like Christopher Robin...And sometimes my parents or friends call me ‘Robin’. I always go there with all my Winnie The Pooh teddies and have a wonderful time. It’s a wonderful feeling to know Christopher Robin and his friends used to go into the exact forest and the bridge. This place warms my heart and brings my teddies to life...But my teddies are always alive anyway...And the Winnie The Pooh teddies i have mean the world to me. I’ve loved Winnie The Pooh all my life, and my Pooh toy I’ve had since i was 3 years old, so he means the world to me. Lovely video!!

Thank you! Beautiful comment. I'd hoped to get to Pooh Corner, but we ran out of time sadly. What a wonderful place.

Fun Fact: Christopher Robin grew to hate pooh.
@TherealRNOwwfpooh
@TherealRNOwwfpooh Жыл бұрын
@@Nytephyre Funner fact: He didn't necessarily hate Pooh himself (his stuffed teddy bear, formerly named Edward Bear or perhaps to be more accurate, Edward Sanders, considering how "Pooh lived in this Enchanted Forest under the name of Sanders, which means he had the name over the door in gold letters & Pooh lived under it") nor the stories his father wrote (sans maybe the religious-themed "Vespers", which he was made fun of for during his school years, which explains why he became agnostic/atheist later on in life), but rather, he disliked the unwanted celebrity fame & the overblown commercialization that came with the stories (in particular, once Disney began making adaptations), feeling as if his father & E.H. Shepard had, in effect, stood on his young shoulders & basically ripped his childhood from him.

Hey Dave such a beautiful video! I have been to the forest when I was very young it’s such a wonderful experience I can still remember aspects of it. It’s nice to know that it’s still looks just as memorable. I hope to go back at some point as it’s not that far from where I live in the UK! 👍 Another fantastic vid Dave!

Awesome video Dave, and very very emotional. My wife and I watched it together and both had a tear or two remembering reading these books to our own child and how much they meant to them and how much a journey like this would mean to them. Thank you.

Fun fact: The place where the Milne family lived and where Christopher Robin grew up was called Cotchford Farm. Cotchford Farm is ALSO known for Rolling Stones alumni Brian Jones, who moved there some decades later, and would go on to be found dead floating in the swimming pool in the backyard in 1968 (I doubt that the pool probably was there yet in the Milnes' time, though. I bet that it wasn't installed until after Jones moved in because of his fame as a member of one of England's greatest rock bands).

Something fun and innocent. I believe God smiles upon the idea of Winnie the Pooh. In a world where most things are just awful a few things are still good. And that is why so many love Winnie the Pooh.
