What an absolute beauty! Back in the day my boss had a Mercury Grey Mk4 Escort RS Turbo. She let me drive it once, and it was a big step up from the Mk3 Escort 1.3 Ghia I had at the time. But I lusted after a Capri, as uncool as they were back then, and I eventually got myself a low mileage Mk3 1.6 Laser as that's all I could afford to insure. Once I got to 21, I then got the first of several 2.8 Injections. You can take the boy our of the Capri, but you can't take the Capri out of the boy and it's one reason I now have a couple of the Capri's American cousins, the Mustang!

Lovely to see such a great example.. used to have a Black Fiesta RS Turbo H, I wish I could sit in those seats again just as a reminder of how they hug you so well! Still have the immaculate steering wheel that I'm pleased I kept so I still have a part of it with me.. ✌️💗

My brothers m8 had one of these in white and lime green trim. I remember being a young lad and jumping in for a lift. Best time of my life. Fantastic car. What a lucky guy to win that beauty 😍 👏🏻

Yeah, the Petrol Cap area was always the first place the rust used to show on these. I remember having to sort that issue out on my XR2i back in the day.

One identical to this made me fall in love with them and buy my own but in red. The roll tip square exhaust they came with from factory was a unique look too for the RS Turbo over the 2i/RS1800 and I’ve never seen a car with one for a very long time as everyone goes for a Scorpion or Magnex as they sound lovely. I’d be protecting that battery tray too as the vent lets rain water in well as undersealing and the near side rear arch and another tin worm area is that rear wiper area. Keep it in that condition and it will be one of the best in the country if not the lowest mileage one even now if it’s legitimate.

Beautiful car. My most favourite rs car. I would give a kidney for one of these lol. Stunning. Back in the day I was lucky enough to get a lift in one of these with just hundreds of miles on it from new. I couldn’t believe how quick it was. Seemed a lot quicker than the escort. Not as much kick in boost as the escort, but Hardly any turbo lag compared to the escort? Just my distant memory. Was 1991 lol. We were in a H reg red fiesta turbo. I think the mileage at the time was under 10000 from new 😂
