yes...just 4 years before this final both teams met in the final of the 1990 World Cup where the Netherlands overcame the might of Pakistan in their own backyard (i.e. Lahore) so this is sort of revenge from Pakistan. Those were really the golden days of Hockey for Pakistan when Hockey was equally exciting and important for us like Cricket.

That was Unbelievable Victory. And that team was one of the best hockey team in history of pak hockey. Shahbaz Senior ledaing from the front. Tahir zaman kh junaid LEGEND MANSOOR (Late) Kamran Ashraf All Super stars Was Did great job. But Sad After 1994 Pak never Win Any Top Tournament. And More Sadback Situation Recently We are not in the top 10 teams Thats why Since last 12 years we Can not Perticipate in Worldcup and olympic Games...due to Politics in hockey Pak hockey Structure Fails and we face Now Dessaster Situation...We need Noor Khan type Hockey Mentor...
