Global bestseller Alex Michaelides joined Sam Blake and Simon Trewin for the last Winning the Writing Game before the summer break! Alex was born and raised in Cyprus, has a MA in English Literature from Trinity College, Cambridge, and a MA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. The Silent Patient was his first novel. It spent over a year on the New York Times bestseller list and sold in a record-breaking 50 countries. He now lives in London and joined us to talk abut his writing process and his stunning new book The Maidens - from the influence of Agatha Christie, to screen writing and Greek Tragedy, find out what shaped Alex's incredible success.
