Man, I've been wanting to find a way to fit devouring sugarmaw into a deck that would be viable.. I knew I could count on reliable LVD to give me the goods! Ever since your Oil deck with Solphum Mayem Dominus, I've been following for these fun non meta decks. I still love slapping people in the face for 20 damage with Filigree Sylex! So fulfilling.

I like 4 mana Elspeth in these type of tokens decks. Regal Bunnicorn or Adeline doing the Bunny Hop to close out a game.

I think splashing red for Callous Sell-Sword might be worth it in this deck, since you can fling Sugarmaw, Adeline or Bunnicorn to face as a finisher, which gives the deck much needed reach.

As a little side note for Match 5 at 29:45 if the Opponnent would have gone for the Virtue it would have been lethal as with reinforcments there would have been 8 2/2 an the Sugermaw wich has trambel being a 7/7 with best blocks the opponent always takes at least 15 with being on 13 and just having 3 blockers with a toughness of 8 togethet it would have been lethal.

Similarly I believe opponent at 45:30 could've played invasion, devastator x=1 and double pumped with godrick unless I'm missing something

In match 7, your opponent missed lethal on the last turn. An X=1 Devastator would have let them deal exact lethal if they'd spent their 2 extra red on Goddrick's firebreathing - it applies to all their dragons, so they'd get 2 power per red rather than the 1 per red from adding to X. Goes to show the power of instant speed effects - they probably would have tried harder to maximize damage if the extra 3 life was face up from a sorcery speed play.

Sugarmaw seems awkward without "leaves the battlefield" type stuff alongside it for some sorta use other than it just eating something. Also, question. Doesn't it get kinda boring going up against the same cards so often that you can literally call the play before it happens? I'm just curious is all.

Playing a different deck every day means there’s at least some variation in the matchups. Grinding the ladder with the same deck would get boring pretty quickly, which is why I don’t do it.

Tried it in a monowhite tokens list on the Arena channel. Without other poison cards it’s a little slow to get lifelink which is needed against monored.

@@LegenVD I run a mostly monowhite white weenies deck with 4 Skrelv's Hive and Jawbone Duelist and Crawling Chorus, most enemies are dead before they can cast Sunfall, or anything similar. And since the deck is 2.2 mana on Average, yeah, when you win 2/3 single games, it's a decent deck. And still against most decks, I deal over 20 damage before turn 5, so even the fact that Toxic is a thing, doesn't really matter, and why I say mostly monowhite, is because Benalish Sleeper is in the decklist as a 4 of to deal with all the BS. And the only annoying match-up is Orzhov Tokens, because it's the only thing that has enough blockers... Oh and Chorus plus Duelist is enough to make sure that you get the lifelink on Skrelv's Hive going. Also Skrelv helps turn your non-toxic creatures into toxic creatures, toss in Agatha's Soul Cauldron, in conjunction with Virtue of Loyalty and Skrelv or Recruitment officer, to make sure that you can always dig through your library for more oomph.

I used to play a lot of token strategies, and it felt like you were maybe placing too much value on "value" as opposed to tempo and board presence which actually leads to more value in some cases. Granted, you still won those games, but I think it's worth considering for a tokens deck how big of a loss it is to sacrifice board presence when you have anthems and creatures that reward you for going wide like bunnicorn and adeline. The loss compounds itself over time as well. So with wedding announcement, for example, getting in for 1 more damage and drawing a card vs. getting an extra 1/1 might seem nice, but that extra 1/1 is really a 2/2 and it pumps bunnicorn. It's still a card in a sense, in fact, it's a 0 mana card that makes a 1/1, which when you have things to do is incredibly powerful compared to drawing. Just something to consider though your lines did work out fine.

I'll say out the obvious: you can pause the screen by tapping on the video, both on pc or mobile (which would be dead-center of the screen for mobile). Alternatively, there's also .75 and .5 playback speed on the video settings menu. I even use 2x speed as I think LVD is one of the slowest-explaining YTber out there; even his play had a lot of pauses before dropping the card on the field. He's very detailed and thorough.
