Winslow, AZ and LA Posada

La Posada Harvey House in Winslow Arizona from the 1930s. Mr Harvey built restaurants along the Santa Fe Railroad for passengers and brought young women from the east to work in the establishments. It is quite a story and a beautiful place. Of course, we visited "Standing on the Corner". #travel #rvlife #full-timervers #arizona #winslow

We’ve been here. The hotel building was closed when we was there. So we didn’t get to go in. It looks. Awesome. I got a pic of Darbi by that old car. It’s a cool place to visit.

Thanks for the great tour of the hotel, I have always wanted to stop, but never quite made it. Great video! I did stop on my last trip at Painted Desert and Painted Desert Inn, hopefully I will have a quick video on that soon. I had a friend from Winslow, but lost track decades ago. Colter, of course, did a number of buildings at Grand Canyon as well, if you make it back up that way. They have a history room at Bright Angel Lodge about the Harvey Girls.🙂

What a beautiful hotel with an interesting history, the 1940s feel is well kept and decorated. A nice place to visit when camping or staying in the area. The Painted Desert is spectacular. Beautiful immersive tour and narrative 🥰💯💯👍👍

Beautiful area. The way the colors of the Painted Desert change during the day is amazing to see. I've driven past Winslow several times but haven't ever stopped to see the town or "stand on the corner". Maybe next time. I agree, those shopkeepers must be tired of the Eagles by now!

This hotel reminds me of the one my wife and I stayed at in 1992 in Cozumel, Mexico. She was pregnant at the time and did not know. We partied, drank, went scuba diving, deep sea fishing, dancing, had a LOT of fun. A few days after returning home we found out she was with child. Life changed forever, and it was for the better, no more crazy wild stuff, there were better things in store................
