Samong’s videos are just great, clear, good content, from hunting, fishing and cooking meals that look like 100 dollars a plate stuff. Good fishing to you and Artum, thanks again for sharing your adventures, time, and faith with us all. Wishing the Yang family the best of all things outdoors in 2022 God bless 🎣🎥👍💯🦾🙏🏻

With power bait, point the rod at the take and gently reel until there is some tension, then set the hook with medium force.
@rosariofam85522 жыл бұрын
Another tip. I use two marshmallows above the hook, and powerbait at the hook. Helps the bait float longer and steady. Works like a charm

When Trout are hitting lightly, winter cold water, I leave the bale open after taking in line after the cast, and wait for the line to snake out when a fish sips in the bait, setting the hook after several feet of line disappear into the water.
@SamongOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Great idea, Don! I will keep that in mind next time!
@mbolt19802 жыл бұрын
Exactly, always feed it too them. I drop the rod and give them some line. Once it tightens hit ‘em! Great video again.

That is some good fun! I like to use a slip bobber and a second rod off the bottom, like you have here. The slip bobber is great on cloudy days, when trout are higher in the water column. Good old worms up top, power bait on the bottom. Tight lines, good videos!

I watch this video a couple days ago when it first came out and it was neat to see that you were catching trout and cooking them on the shoreline and it was kind of funny because that same night I happened to be eating some nice fresh trout that I had caught a couple days earlier so it was nice to see you cooking trout as I was eating trout , keep up the good work.

I grew up using powerbait. My dad would mix colors to get a rainbow color. I got tierd of having to check my bait everytime I get a bite. I use the power eggs now. They never come off. Great video! I can't wait to see what you have in store for hunting season.

Samong, I love your videos! One Powerbait variant that has worked exceptionally well for me for trout are: Powerbait Alive chartreuse floating eggs. Works very well with bottom rigs, I usually just throw 2-3 on a number 8 sized hook. As you mentioned it keeps the bait off the bottom :)
@thefishinglor69312 жыл бұрын
Brother Sam, your dull knife lol get yourself a heavy duty scissor for snipping the fins and cutting the gut open it’s much more safe than using a knife nevermind a dull one you may have to apply some force to make it cut and risk having an accident.

If you ever use a shorter liter or have deep water close try completely submerging the powerbait for like 5-10 secs. It will suction on better trust me.🤙🏼 love your vids too man!
