I'm with you there. The more I use them, the more I'm put off replacing the Fireblades. That said, I will need something for 7-8oz leads. Thanks for watching again my friend, cheers 😎👌

Another great video Stu. I do enjoy the story telling. You're going to have to bring James up here in the summer months and we'll spend the nights on the beach. I'm getting more sea gear for Chrsitmas and will be doing more of it. it's easier for me to walk on a beach than up mountains after wild carp nowadays.

Yeah we must do that next year buddy, James would love that. Hope you're doing well my friend ❤️🙏

Glad you enjoyed it Jamie. Appreciate your kind words. APFA was timeless and my favourite angling series ever, so I do tend to get a lot of inspiration from it. Glad to hear that's coming through. Thanks for stopping by 😎👍

@thesweetcornkid266 no problem mate i still watch APFA it's as good as actually fishing for me calms my mind and relaxes me. The coffee cup is my local mark I'm only 5 minutes walk from there mate. Would be nice to meet up one day in the future 👍🏻

@thesweetcornkid266 I had a nice bass from there in the last storm we had and some nice bream but they have gone now. Last session was a blank and it early morning and fished from 04;30 till 9 ish without a tap
@thesweetcornkid26615 күн бұрын
@FishingWithJamie88 I'm afraid it's getting to that time of year now where the blanks will outnumber the good trips. Decisions must be made lol 👍

ha ha you seem to be following in my footsteps, i used to fish here back in the early 90`s Diawa moonraker with a modified Abu 6000c, also at one point i used to have a small dingy and fish langstone harbour for school bass and flatties

Enjoyable and relaxing video, nicely narrated. Notice you were using AFAW 4 & bait, currently I am using a second hand Century TT low dia SM and enjoying same, nice rod for my advanced years ! Can’t afford a new one and was thinking of a 4 and bait 13ft. Predominately use 5 oz leads, would appreciate your comments on same, fish SW beaches and Chesil. Purchased a Fireblade 14ft GT (on a whim) few months ago and find it too stiff and heavyish for me personally ( as said advanced years) Go Steady, thanks in advance
@thesweetcornkid26614 күн бұрын
@@derekjefferson1324 Hi Derek. Thanks for making contact. Yeah that Fireblade was too much for me. The 4&bait I've fallen in love with. Such a beautiful rod to use, casts well, bite detection is awesome and it's a joy to reel fish in, even the dogfish fight. As you say anything up to 5oz and your ok. But with that in mind I have replaced the Fireblades with a pair of TronixPro Competition Blackouts. Not too long, light and slim and beautiful glass tips that bend wonderfully. Not used them yet but will do a review when I do. Stay lucky my friend 🙏
@derekjefferson132414 күн бұрын
Appreciate your comments and time in replying - thanks I will look forward to your future video/review on the Blackouts, with fish - hopefully Go Steady
