Thanks Trevor, I am sure I will be able get a herring on feathers. Just need smaller sabikis and use them at slack high tide. Must try harder next time 👍🏻

Nice vid matey. I had great success with feathers in Harwich harbour similar position to you in the late summer, had 3 rods out one with a lure and two with feathers and I’d followed the gulls who were feeding on the fry. Each cast delivered every hook full of Bass, I must have had 40 fish in the space of 30 minutes! Great sport but no keepers, all under size. Brilliant fun. Keep up the good work might see you out there one day, I have a small motor boat out of Shotley marina called Stella, just fish the Orwell or Stour dependant on the weather. Happy New Year Chris

Hi chris, In the summer I am sure the bass were smashing the feathers there! Great sport as you say, and soon enough you’ll find a big one in there! I’m at Shotley quite a bit so might recognise your boat. Cheers, Ed

Lovely day for it Ed, would imagine this time of year them echoes are sprats / whitebait. Whiting and codling were coughing them up 2 weeks ago in the harbour. We're hoping for a run out Tuesday if the weather window holds.

Was a cracking day for it, the whiting had big bellies so must’ve been full of smaller stuff. I’m keeping my eye out for Tuesday as well!
