I tend to read a Harry Potter around Christmas time and now the illustrated editions are out it’s usually one of those physically whilst simultaneously listening to the audiobook. I snuggle up in bed with my daughter in the evenings for this little ritual and I love love love it.

Ahh, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell! I found a hardcover of this book for only $1 at a church I was rehearsing a play at. This was so many years ago and I have yet to read it because I'm so intimidated by the size. I've heard such great things though so may have to bite the bullet and read it this winter. Great video, as always!

I want to read The Bear and the Nightingale. But I want to read The Outsider by Stephen King first. The Outsider is becoming a adaptation television show in Janaury 2020. Great list, thank you. Like you, I loved jonathan strange. The author's world building was so impressive, right down to all the footnotes (my inner geek loved those footnotes). Will take a look at the Sanderson book, I've avoided him for some reason.
