Been a while fella, love the video. Your channel is fantastic, as it is relative to where I live with all of the beauty and challenges. I love the British bushcrafters, but a Honey Badger seems to be their biggest threat. Cooking food in bear country is a different discipline. Cheers mate.
@wituikbws2 жыл бұрын
A discipline I neglect to follow 😆 I do absolutely nothing but have a rifle and a dog around to deal with the threat of bears, and with all the raw meat I have at my camps, I am yet to be visited by a bear believe it or not. I did have a cougar come by my camp last trip though, which is worse in my opinion haha
@ericstoever95774 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing the videos! Beautiful country, great lesson on how to deal with adversity. Now you have another axe/hatchet to re-haft! I hope your new year is safe, happy and healthy. Best wishes from here in the Allegheny National Forest in Northwestern Pennsylvania.

I had to remember that knot from 3 years go - hadn't done it since I learnt it, but it sure did save my trip. Not having that axe would've made things a lot more complicated. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Love your choices in gear man even more intresting to watch people who bushcraft with that old world feel, I'll take my leather waxed cotton and wool over synthetic any day just feels and looks better
@wituikbws2 жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. Pioneers opened up an entire continent using gear like that. I think that vouches for a lot more than a few Amazon and KZbin reviews on a made in China "upgrade" over the original designs; for example, Fiskars axes 🤮😆

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND MARIE! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU 2 WERE MARRIED! I NOTICED YOUR RING! PRAY ALL IS WELL!
@wituikbws4 жыл бұрын
Happy new year! The ring has a bit of a sad story behind it unfortunately. Marie and I live in different countries as you may know (she’s American, I’m Canadian), so it leaves us in a logistically challenging situation. We both wear the ring to always remind us of each other while we are apart, which is sadly more often than we are together over the years. The only finger the ring fits on happens to be that one, but I am more than happy to have people assume I’m married to her :)
