This guy knows my deep half guard game so he sits in front of me with his knees pinch so I can’t get a leg in so I can’t enter any suggestions?

If he’s sitting with his knees pinched that mean he has a narrow base, so you need to off balance him to force him to post the knee and open up the space. Does that make sense?

I hate deep half. This just looks ridiculous and is not universal jiu-jitsu. I try to tailor my game to things that would actually work in real life encounters and in sports competition. Yes, I understand that sports bjj is popular and has its place, but it doesn't take away the absurdity of this move.
