Spent 3 days and 2 nights in an Atuk Alaskan tent. Fantastic shelter. Had a Kni-Co stove going and stayed toasty warm. Also tried out an all new sleep system and was very happy.
Key Gear:
Atuk Alaskan 10 X 10
Kni-Co Packer Stove
Mountain Hardwear Lamina 0 Sleeping Bag
Klymit Insulated Static V Pad
Woods Camp Cot

Thanks Mike. I can't say anything bad about the Atuk. It is a great tent. And a smoking deal right now for Americans due to the current exchange rate. ATB - Chris

Way cool guys! I got my eye on one of those chairs as well. I hope to get out one more time before golf season starts. Nice layout of the Atuk - lots of room.

Thanks boss. It was a blast. That tent is huge inside. second night we had 3 cots set up with the stove and still had room to move around. And those chairs rock. Jay got the helinox and I picked up the Travel Chair Joey. Both seem solid so far. I can see myself taking it backpacking. I would love to get out one more time before all the snow is gone but forecast looks like it may not last much longer. take care.

I really want a tent like that. I haven't done winter camping but winter is my favorite time of year. Just my 2 cents , I'd rather hear you guys talk than that music , just sayin LOL. Great camp 👍👍 Peace

That was a great camp out with your bro..that stove you have is wicked, i need one like that!! Got a kick outta the skweeky cheeze , that's made out here in MB, New Bothwell. Were it mine to do, i wouldn't use a cot, those bows looked beautifully comfortable and aromatic.. tough to fuk with that! Nice video U-sub

Thanks for watching. The only reason I went with a cot this time instead of just using the boughs like last time was it was actually supposed to rain and I wasn't sure how much water we would have on the ground nut it turned out fine anyway. Gotta love them Squeakers!

Nice video guys enjoyed it where about you camping looks similar to southern Ontario. But if i had to suggest something it would be a change in music, or no music at all perhaps, that style isn't the average outdoors mans idea of pleasing music id say lol. All in all very enjoyable looking forward to more boys!

Great video! I’m in the process of ordering my atuk gen 2 ! Love that they’re Canadian made. How did the Packer stove work for you? I heard the door is a bit small which makes it a bit harder to work with... anyway, cheers from Sudbury 🍻

hi guys, i'm just starting to get into winter camping. the one thing i hear are the warnings about carbon monoxide poisoning. a lot of people are saying you should keep a door flap open on your tent to properly ventilate if there's a woodburning tent stove going overnight. what do you guys think?
@UrbanSuburban010
@UrbanSuburban010 6 жыл бұрын
Philip Kim by no means am I an expert and always follow any manufacturers recommendations but we haven't had any issues. The tent we use has a vent near the top that we always keep open and we set it up so that there is a bit of a gap under the door so that we don't have to leave it open. Have had no issues with CO or even smoke inside yet. Take care.

My buddy Jay did it. But basically it is a heavy duty baking pan and he cut a hole through pole the size of a small aluminum cross piece for support. I believe that he has more detailed instructions on the wintertrekking.com forums.

outdoorsmen 56 sorry for the late reply. Jay daid he would be happy to make one but the shipping cost wouldn't make it very cost efficient for you. The materials are extremely inexpensive to buy. I believe that he put a bit of a show and tell/diy thread about it on the wintertrekking forums website.

Why didn't you talk on this video?? when setting up, it would have been better I think, especially when you were both digging all that snow out, I bet there was a lot of banter between the two of you about how much you were having to move. I enjoyed the video all the same,
