Humidity today and yesterday was well over 80%, we are usually lots lower as well....at 14:45 that fire was awesome Lars....look forward to Part II, thanks Lars...Cheers Fred

That's how you do it! I completely agree about just using a ground pad if possible instead of stripping trees for fun. A few years back I bought my wife a really nice and thick Thermarest for camping......and I might just borrow it sometimes when I go out-of-vehicle camping ;) I'm really liking my Canadian bag system, but it's certainly something that you wouldn't want to carry on your back!

I've watched a couple of your show, like them a lot. I took winter survival training in the US Army in Alaska in 1970, they showed us all the things we could do and then told us, we can't do that, the post commander doesn't want us going into the forest so it's just what you have right here and there was nothing right here. Had all been used by previous training companies. All I remember of it is that I spent a week in a sleeping bag. Something else may have happened, I don't know.

Back when I was in the Canadian army we also had this gold ticket you could call it Bivvy bag, the original Green one, That thing you could lay in the middle of a swamp and stay dry, Combined with the winter sleeping bags it was comfortable to -40 or a bit more, just the morning piss sucked climbing out of the bag :)

Ok, I’ve been binge watching your videos, I have to ask; why are you camping without a tent? I understand winter camping, but why not make it pleasurable, bring a tent, even a small 1 room tent would be like a palace when your camping on survival skills. Right? God bless you and your family brother.

Great fire! Thanks for putting this much up so we can see it sooner. It's interesting that your Silky Accel came with a straight blade. Mine came with a curved one. You could change the blade to a curved one. With the curved handle and the curved blade it is an extremly comfortable saw to use.
