Gorgeous footage here. I wish this video, however, captured the spirit of solitude - possible even if hiking with friends - that you were able to capture in your Picos de Europa video. I think that type of content is your trademark and differentiator. Enveloping silence, captivating music, and visuals that transport the viewer to the location you're hiking. I like only when you speak to pups for some reason, likely because it's raw and they're just kind animals. I think in silence you can convey the emotions of your friends and hiking partners without any spoken words, sticking to your signature style. You said as much in your epiphany video a week or two ago, IIRC. I was delighted to watch that and can't wait to see more. That's what keeps me subscribed to your channel. If you've read this far, thanks.

Goddamn. Absolutely eye-watering shots with the drone there. Beautiful. The iPhone shots were surpassingly crisp, too! Glad to see you having company on this hike. It’s important to have someone around during this season, especially family. Eager to see another mostly silent / ambient hike short film. As always, love your stuff and happy sponsors are picking you up.

Excellent video, again. Loved the music and shots. The sponsor should be well pleased-fab integration...a seamless advert that enhanced the video. IMHO-So many youtubers aren’t getting this quite right, I think you’ve figured it out. Thanks for making these-inspiring us to find the beauty in mild discomfort. Hope to see more sponsorship by BackCountry so you can do what you do. Peace.

Thanks for capturing Mt. Hood so gorgeously! Grew up in Portland, always looking up at the mountain. Both my maternal and paternal grandparents lived in Welches at different points in my childhood, so I spent a lot of time up in the area and at Timberline Lodge growing up. Sitting quietly and looking up at the mountain has always been zen-like for me. Hope you enjoyed the trip. :)

Literally my second favorite film you’ve made. What was extraordinary here was your ability to document the frigid elements, kill the night time cinematography, capture the 3 of you as dots in the sky showing the composition of how vast the mountain was in perspective. You took a risk with changing the atmosphere from silent nature to friends and nature. It paid off big (squirt). The soundtrack built, and damn was the climax a climax. The shift to the sponsor was super natural and paired well. Transition from that to about the trip worked well too. 5/10. ❤️⛄️ 🏔
