Winter Chub fishing with cheesepaste Dec 2016

A day off work allowed me to spend a few hours on my local stretch targeting the resident Chub, could I manage to hook a few using link ledger cheese paste tactics? Hope you enjoy.

Yeah was a good afternoon out mate, the Chub were all in mint condition.. I'm sure there are a few 5lbers in here but still haven't managed one yet... Will keep at it tho. Thanks for watching again 👍

Great Video as always, that first fish you had gave you a good bend in the rod! Can't beat good old cheese paste for tempting the chub on a cold winters day.

Belting fish that mate. I thought it was gonna pull the rod out of your hands at one point. I think it's hard to pick a better bait than cheese paste for chub in winter. Keep them coming 👍

Hi mate n merry Xmas, this is a free stretch of the River Dearne at Harlington... Good area for Chub with a chance of a Barbel n some good Bream too... give it ago pal, Dusk is the prime time for bites 😉

love your videos mate. With your experience can you recommend any good chub stretches of the Idle or Ryton? any advice would be appreciated. Also have you had a go for the big perch on the new juction canal at Sykhouse? there's some real monsters, had them to 3 1/2lb but seen much bigger. Cheers

s4sanders Art Hi mate glad your enjoying the videos.. The Idle has some nice Chub Morrison's super market at Redford is a good place nice stretch to give about there. Also good at Eaton near the Bridge. No not tried for Perch on the NJ canal have fished there a few times but only had Bream out.. Love big Perch got to be my favourite fish to catch.. thanks for watching & hope you manage a few Chub 👍🎣

Hi mate, the rod I use is a shimano vengeance barbel rod with the 2oz tip on. Has a nice smooth soft action. Think they retail at £75. Thanks for watching 👍🎣
