Nice video! I grew up in that area and fished the canal a lot, and occasionally the Culm until I moved away with work. Am intrigued by your landing net set up whilst wading. I ask as I am hoping to trot for barbel on the Ribble this year and am looking for a way of having a net to hand with a longer handle than the folding wading nets.

Hi thanks for watching. I usually fly fish so i have a scoop net tucked in my wading belt, so I adapted the same concept with my long landing net lol, 😆 bit clunky but actually works. rods long see and the banks are high and steep in places so a short net is not an option unless you are in the river all day wading.
