Have you cycled/commuted in the winter? Any tips on bike setup and/or advice on cleaning the bike 🤔

so interesting to see the other side of the world commuting! can really recommend a 45mm tire gravel bike for the perfect mix of speed and going places outside of the road! you will love it!

@@GerritKnein thanks for the tip! I’m looking to build a new gravel bike soon with 40mm tires which should make a big difference compared to the 28/32mm road tires I’ve been running in the snow 😂

Great video!, I’ve retired now but I cycled to work work and back for about 40 years, I never gave into bad weather, there’s a great feeling of achievement in completing both morning and evening rides on a bike!. I enjoy your KZbin videos so keep them up!! …. Thanks from ….. Archie in Birmingham U.k.

I hope to be like you and continue cycling for many many years to come. Ride on and thanks for commenting and watching Archie 🙏

The trail beside the Humber looked slippery and sketchy, good job staying upright! I've got a Kona Jake with 'winter tires' that handles pretty well in the snow, fortunately Toronto doesn't get snow often and it doesn't last long. I used to bike commute to work all year round, about 15 km on the Lower Don Trail, it was nice to be away from car traffic.

@@matthewcohen6339 it was definitely slippery and my first ride in snow on a road bike 😂 I’ve heard great things about the Lower Don Trail, and anything away from cars and traffic is a good ride.

I commute to work on my sl7 only difference is I live in South Florida. That layering up just to ride my bike I couldn’t do every day. When it has gotten into the 40’s here I dread going out only because I have to dress warm and cover my face if not I would get wind burns. Either way kuddos to you my dude 💪🏼

So you have a list of your winter cycling gear you're wearing in the video?
@henrychungfitness8 күн бұрын
@@damu6678 I have the Siroko gear I wore in the description. For the commute I normally don’t wear cycling specific gear since I need to wear work clothes 👍

I came back from Toronto on Christmas Eve. Are you using studded tires? This looks really icy.
@henrychungfitness7 күн бұрын
Welcome back to Toronto! Not studded, these are road tires which wasn’t the smartest but I took it slowish 😂

Do you use special snow tires for your ride? How do you keep from slipping. I live in a place where it's sunny even during the winter.
@henrychungfitness6 күн бұрын
@@323enriquez no special snow tires, just careful riding 😂

happy new year sir henry, could i know what tire brand model are you possibly using during winter? thank you.
@henrychungfitnessКүн бұрын
@@faderblock happy new year to you as well! The tires I’m running were the Conti Ultrasport 3 front 28mm, and Conti GrandSport Race 32mm rear. Do not recommend as winter tires, unless you take it slow and steady. I’ll be building a gravel bike soon with AliExpress tires and will keep you posted 👌
