totally agree with your point on the fur trend and not buying new fur, but buying faux fur new is also terrible for the planet!! there is so much real or faux fur already out in the world that I think anyone wanting to partake in this trend should look at getting it second hand if possible!! loved the video, happy this came up on my recommendations and introduced me to your channel🤍

I was just gonna comment the same thing! Faux fur is not ethical or ecological at all, it’s literally just plastic. The only way go if you want a fur jacket imo is to buy a vintage one that’s real fur.

Great roundup and image/illustration selection. That’s a lot of editing work! Also love it when I already have all the trends in my wardrobe from previous years. Keep a classic/quality version of each thing if you bought it - it will come around again and you can wear it regardless of trends as well!

Respectfully, ethically means not just killing animals for fashion it means being sustainable with other fabrics like cotton, crude oil synthetics, and not buying into fast fashion. What about the people in Yakutsk? They wear real reindeer fur and fox fur. I don’t mind them wearing real fur because that’s ACTUALLY for practicality and not for fashion.

There's so many new tech fabrics nowadays that I do not find that necessary anymore. I understand we did it in the past, that's why I said I am okay with thrifting real fur. But buying new fur it's completely unnecessary

She was talking about trends not hundreds of years old indigenous people's traditions. Yknow the fur that you are buying will come from rabbits bred, kept alive and killed for only this purpose and held in horrible conditions. Sometimes even skinned alive. Besides sometimes indigenous people's traditions actually make animals go extinct or endangered. Just because they're doing it doesn't automatically make it etical.

@@kitaliss to be honest there is a difference. People in remote locations don’t have the luxury to buy items not made from animals. There could also be a discussion about how environmentally friendly and long lasting the alternatives are. People in very remote locations kill the animal for food, for clothing but also for tools. They eat almost everything and they have been living very close to nature with lots of respect for the environment. List of the fur is being past down for generations and will be for decades to come. It is a huge difference between that and us in the rest of the world.

For me I really think that either way if they gonna kill the animal for the meat then why let the coat go to waste, but if there just killing them for their fur than that’s not ethical at all. But at the end of the day theres gonna be fur from the animals we eat the least we can do it honor them with their fur.

I agree with the biker or riding boots you can invest in a good quality leather pair of riding boots and they will never go out of the biker boots will be in and out they would have to be a cheaper pair for me if I bought them I would not invest ❤

But don't promote uggs if you say not to buy real fur... animal violence is horrible at uggs. And honestly from a fashion point of view, uggs are ugly and will be over in 6 months, that's for suuuure. Don't invest in animal abuse for 6month of "fashion". Go for a brown sneaker (aimée léon dore) for exemple

It is the same as leather shoes or bags. They use the fur and leather from animals that were raised for the food industry. I personally have never bought Uggs cause I agree with you I don’t think it’s worth, but I do prefer to buy high quality leather shoes and bags that will last a lifetime. I will make sure to address this in the future or not mention uggs next time. Also if you are that worried about animal abuse you should eat a plant based diet, I do.

I never write comments but however I love that you recommend faux fur instead of real and also that you talk about being responsible with our environment and animals! I think more (fashion) influencers should do it! So I didn't find it cringe at all but totally positive - thank you!🫶🏽 As a small addition: unfortunately, UGGs are produced under terrible circumstances. Little lambs are cauterized for the fur. I also think the shoe is very cute but unfortunately the production is not and buying increases demand🥺 Lots of Love from Germany
