The buffalo are such a tease 😄 northern Illinois rivers and creeks are loaded with those big guys and they never bite artificial lures.

Awesome video and nice catches!! That’s spillway is tough right now. Not producing the strippers

I'm curious how warm the water is coming out of there. It's fun watching someone grind it out during the winter months. You had a pretty good day to be honest. Congrats on 30k subs. It looks like your shorts are going viral again.

@@BackroadsAngling thanks, man! I've told myself to bring a thermometer there a few times but I always forget. I may be back in IL again next month and try here again. I'll try to bring one then.

Awesome Multi-Species day especially in the cold. Keep up the great content. How often are you coming back to Illinois to fish?
@EngineeringHooksets5 күн бұрын
Not sure. Ironically, my job (in Knoxville) sent me to Streator, IL for site work on a solar farm for the first 2 weeks of December. I got like 6 videos filmed while I was there.

@@EngineeringHooksets I've always wanted to fish that dam in Streator, but not sure if you can shore fish it.

@@BananasacOutdoors I've thought about going there but it'd have to be in the spring. I assume its shallow so idk if there's anything there now

@@EngineeringHooksets Was there some fishing spots you've found because of Nick or have you been fishing in all of the same spots nick had way before you discovered his channel.

We're from close to the same area so its just a given that we're gonna fish the same spots. We've even both posted videos at a spot in Missouri (Im pretty sure my video was first) just because I have family in Hannibal. I've found several cool spots from his channel but they're all in southern IL and I haven't tried any of them yet (Rend, Sangchris, etc)
