Winter Flight to Friday Harbor (KFHR) for Lunch & Shopping

A spontaneous flight on a calm winter day to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island with my wife Lori. It's only about a 20 minute flight from Lynden. We had a nice lunch at Downriggers on the waterfront and browsed the shops while strolling the main street. It's so nice not to have to take the ferry.

Was that GTP on the radio as you were on short final to Lynden? Great video! I worked at BLI (at BAS) for three years and am in Lynden nearly every day. Although we live near the water in Ferndale, I work near the corner of the Guide and Laurel. I typically look for GTP when I hear a small aircraft overhead, now I'll start looking for a Diamond as well.

Lynden Airport is a great place to fly from, I’m looking forward to lots of future videos from Greg as he settles into his new ‘home turf’. 👍👍
