Great video, love fishing and kayaking the Deerfield River and all the feeder streams. A fly-fishing float trip is on the to do list.

Fished there decades ago.Caught nothing for the longest time,neophyte fly fisher I figured,so not expecting much.Suddenly something hammered my Miller’s River Special like it packed a Tommy Gun,fought it like Jerry Lewis or Curly of The Three Stooges.Got a big,beautiful bow who finally saw enough comedy,bolted into the air and gone.Been back only a few times much to my regret.Excellent video!

Great video, I live in this area and fish the Deerfield throughout the year. We have one the best trout fishing rivers.

I’ve driven that *exact* same rt2 stretch many, many times lol. I’d recognize that fire tower and those beautiful bridges anywhere. It’s one of the more interesting drives in Massachusetts. It’s a great stretch for fly fishermen, too…Miller and Deerfield (two great trout rivers) run right alongside rt2 only a few miles apart. Get a nice cheap motel out there in the boonies for a few days 🤌

The Deerfield River between the Bardwell Ferry Bridge and the Stillwater Bridge is a great spot for fishing.

Fantastic video. is there a ferry service up that way for float trippers? I've found uber and lyft hard to come by in remote areas.

We'll check with Chris Jackson. Most popular trout rivers have some sort of shuttle service if there are a lot of boats that float it.

I’m so disappointed in you guy’s, we all would have loved to see you ride that raft down the snowy hill into the river!😂 I still liked the rest of the video, thanks for posting it!

Nice video. I would recommend a pfd for all float trips especially winter trips. Inflatable PFD’s are cheap and effective when help is far away and would have great difficulty getting to you in an emergency.

is there any chance that these rainbows are wild/river bown fish? those fins look way too nice to be fresh from a stock tank
@OnTheWaterMedia2 жыл бұрын
Some of the fish caught were definitely wild trout but it's a mix in that river.

Let me guess: The brown trout are mostly from natural reproduction? And the rainbow trout are mostly from stocked fish?
