Also if in snow or near water a small hot water bottle comes in handy as you can boil water and pour in hot water bottle and could be a life saver in some situations

You are correct or you can fill a Nalgene bottle as well. I used to take a small hot water bottle a few years ago but my current sleep system is more than adequate to keep me warm so something I don’t have in my rucksack anymore. Thanks for the comment ATB Karl 👍

@@TheSummitexplorer69 yes a Nalgene bottle will also do the job, in some situation hot water bottles or a Nalgene will come in handy especially if something goes wrong.. I just had my vern 1 new tent back I cant wait to try it out, I have pitched in the garden for a check over and all looking good... Anyway all the best to you 👍🏻

I enjoyed your load out video. Very similar in kit to what I carry albeit different branding. I will be sure to watch your other two videos this week too. Happy hiking 🥾

Nice video, I am a seasoned hiker but never really conquered winter wild camp. But would love to have a go. We'll done!

I started in summer and then spring / autumn before moving into winter, build up your gear and experience, the winter months are very different but worth it. ATB Karl

@@TheSummitexplorer69 I will say the only other pack I'm tempted by is the Osprey Exos 48 pro. It's very lightweight but most of the same features. Will need to save up though 🤣

I have the atoms ag50 and the exos 48 and find the exos to be the more comfortable pack.

Thanks for reply ,I find the hipbelt on the atoms rubs on my hips after a while other wise it's a good pack.

Doesn’t the osprey pack have a whistle built into one of the straps somewhere ?
