Winter Hair Care Tips for Fine Natural Hair

I follow Mrs. Mississippi's hair regimen although she has thick dense hair. As a fine natural I just reset my hair every 2-3 days by shampooing, conditioning, leave-in and grease to seal (oh and hair growth oil on my scalp.). Has been working for me! I leave my hair alone and am able to finder detangle my 4 braids each wash day and reset.

Hey Michelle, I think I need to step up my moisture game with my hair feels horrible right now and I've been afraid to try something like amla because I'm thinking it's like protein and I think I'm protein sensitive, my hair just gets too dry and hard if I use something with protein so I don't know what else to do

protein sensitivity is really not a thing. people have been throwing that term around. your hair IS mostly protein. What's actually happening is if you are using protein and your hair doesn't need it, the moisture is thrown off balance. OR, you're using a pretty heavy protein without balancing it out with a deep conditioner that doesn't have protein. Have you tried using a DC with no protein for a bit? Shea Moisture's manuka honey dc is good
