Lived in the other side of town for 12 years 89-01.... Always liked it there .... Best times were in the winter when my Mom & Dad could one visit for a month or two .... Great memories of those times .... So sad now that they both have passed

Spent a lot of time visiting from 1988-1994 even lived there in 1993. Banana Boat, Cobb, Garner elementary, market world, cypress gardens I could go on. Lots of memories.

Cypress Blvd is the main vain of WH. Cypress Gardens Park was its staple. They kept the name even after they closed. A lot of senior high school pictures, weddings, and sweet 16 were taken at the CG park in its days.

Ah the windy road out to the Gardens??...I used to tool around those curves in my 65 MGB when it was just 2 lanes, I can't stanmd it now the drive into and through town is a nightmare, too many cars?

HAHA - I practically live in Winter Haven. You can tell you were driving during the week during summer. (snowbirds were gone) I would love to see you drive the same route during season on a Saturday!! It be crazy!!

born and raised in winter haven..lived all over winterhaven but man how that place has changed and not all for the good..miss those lakes..ironic how cypress gardens blvd still has the name all tho been shut down for years..when they blew up the orange dome winter haven was no longer..building progress sucks!
