Great video as always, I was wondering where the stove was :), the net control that was not able to hear you I think would have been Peter VE3OCN who is also from Brantford. 73 from the Bell City, VA3SMC

10 C not bad until you start feeling a chill. Without heat source and a way to block the draft from cave shafts your time in there is like being in a freezer. But you were having fun and that is what counts.

Hello Carson, Paul Outstanding operating position. Definitely qualifies as improvised shelter. How did you get the antenna up? You're antennas are always so high and well-positioned, but I have no idea how you guys get them up there. Would love to see a "how to deploy my wire antenna" video. As always, you guys are awesome. 73 Julian oh8stn

I used a SOTAbeams 10m telescopic travel pole for the vertical, but for dipoles I have a slingshot now. Maybe Paul will do a deployment video - he is really good with the slingshot!

You guys are brave 8-O In the Ozarks the occupants ( cougars, bears, wolfs and etc ..... ) would fight you for the right to be in there :-))) Great idea 8-) I will have to explore the idea =)

Hey Pat... I did see alot of animal tracks but none that were going into that cave. Lucky we had it all to ourselves!

I really like caving in years past ..... most of our cave are on private lands or the ones on public lands are protected and or blocked off =) Most I have been to in the past where in National Forest near the Ozark Highland Trail in Arkansas 8-) A few links: >>> ozarkhighlandstrail.com/ www.ouachitamaps.com/OHT.html www.fayettechill.com/blogs/news/41990017-ozark-highlands-trail-hike-a-ten-day-thru-hike-journey ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2008/10/ozark-trail/white-text

Just a short question. How do you operate the ptt in digi mode? As I can see the acc connector is blocked by the pa. Just wondering :-) Really nice video btw. 73s Stephan, DF6PA

With a digital interface called the Wolphilink. It sends the audio AND triggers the PTT from the data port. Thanks for watching!

Can someone explain the antenna a little bit? At 2:52 it just looks like a wire for the radiator, a wire for the counterpoise, and some choke wrapped into the feed. Is that it?
@VA3OSO5 жыл бұрын
That is it.

Outstanding, thank you. Btw, that is the fastest reply I have ever received, in the entire history of the internet.
