Winter in Cornwall

This week we stay put in our home county of Cornwall. The changeable Cornish weather threatens to rain on our parade but we make the most of the short blasts of blue sky jumping into the Atlantic with no clothes on, exploring the remains of a ship wreck and enjoying chips by the coast. We stay in another amazing unique stay, a quirky converted lifeboat in a field.
This week we fall in love with home, and the seas that surround it. We are really excited to share what we love about our home with you all.

March 3 2024 Maryland USA: Loving your little area out of the rain to have something to eat. Both of you have truly brought so much to my side of the world. What an education on whre you have been, the vehicles, hiking and the endurance of the human spirit. I do hope to see many more years of your adventures together. They've done a cracking job on the lifeboat, the little shed addition makes all the difference. Jake, i'll be your friend as Iz seems a bit reluctant 😂 agree Tom, always nice to see a fence you've fixed, a gate you put in etc, etc that folk get to use. Spring is coming thankfully ☀️

That was mint. We stayed near Penzance a few years ago and the beaches and coastline were incredible but it was mid-summer so everywhere was rammed. I'd love to return in winter someday.

I lived in Cornwall, in Redruth for five years. Lovely area, and St. Just and Zenor, lovely places. Went down Bottalick Mine one day, hard life to mine Tin. Convert a shipwreck for glamping, perhaps.

I don't think there is another place like Cornwall come rain or shine, Lots of cove pubs to visit everywhere, all with their own touch and a Cornish welcome. On a misty storm day looking out to sea, it levels your soul. Great video, ( your link for the boat doesn't seem to connect).

Hi Guys One of your best videos as you say you do not have to travel far when you live in a lovely part of the country. When we lived in Mid Devon, most of our holidays were spent at the very lovely Woolacombe Bay which was only 45 mins drive away, one of the best beaches in the World which has public access and privately maintained. Pedn Vounder unfortunately the worst kept secret of Cornwall as has featured in so many newspaper travel guides. Beautiful place though, could almost be mistaken for the Caribbean in the summer when the water comes in over the hot sand and is turquoise blue.

Agree! Their pastys are the best. I used to get mine from opposite me in Marazion and sit down on the beach for lunch before heading back into the madness! You can't beat Philps! Is that the beach which caused the Minack to remove the telescope from their cafe!!
