I’ve been wanting to go to Tallinn for ages!!! Hopefully I can go see for myself and add them into a Pt 2 haha. Super jealous you’re going to Iceland and Norway! Hope it’s amazing :) I’ve been planning for a Norway trip today (to Lofoten in June). So excited!

I, as a German, am a summer's person and dread the dark, foggy, rainy and not-so-cold winters in Central GER (Frankfurt, to be exact). I love your positivity about the winter season in general!

Haha I always found Munich a little dreary in November/January too when I was living there, but I always felt better as soon as the Xmas markets opened. I think because we don’t have many Christmas markets in Canada, the ones in Germany seem so magical to me! I bet it feels different when you’re used to them though. Hope you find some fun adventures to have this winter!!! ❄️

Really appreciate that you addressed hot, cold and holiday areas as european winter can be multifaceted. As for the Portuguese islands; I’m a big fan. I loved Madeira over Azores though. Both very volcanic, lush, and a lot of natural beauty, inexpensive and if you like the outdoors they’re a good option! Not really beach destinations though.
