winter in the woods

A little glimpse into my life in rural Canada. Another case of hitting record with no plan, no script, and a desire to make something out of 60 minutes of random vlog footage.
Main camera: Sony a7C ii
- No gimbals, all handheld footage was shot with in-camera Active stabilization enabled. Little to no added stabilization in DaVinci Resolve.
- Nothing was shot in S-Log. Likely used PP11 (S-Cinetone).
- Variable ND filter was used on sunny day footage (I know parts of the sky look blochy - I'm still learning how to properly use these)

The DSLR featured is a Canon 6D with 40mm f2.8 STM lens. I never finished the challenge but I’ll try again another time.
FAQs:
The Icelandic wool sweater is called a "lopapeysa" and it has puffins on it. I bought it in Reykjavik at The Handknitting Association of Iceland. It was pricey but worth it. I wear a turtleneck base layer underneath it so it does not feel itchy/scratchy.
Edited with DaVinci Resolve (Studio version - worth every dollar. The Voice Isolation feature is worth it alone. Even though I use a wind muff on my microphone, the extra voice isolation helps the audio sound extra crisp). Microphone was either in camera or Neewer CM14 Pro.
Voiceover was recorded with Blue Yeti Microphone.
I’m not a full time KZbinr. I work in software/tech/programming to support this expensive hobby.
