It’s amazing the amount of use and punishment that all the machinery takes throughout the year and that’s not including the severe negative temperatures in the winter and extreme temperatures in the summer months . We all should be really grateful and appreciated all our farmers around the world for the punishment that they endure on all our behalf to produce the foods we all eat and drink. I certainly know that I do ! 👍

Always the coldest month.. it was melting a few days ago here in Grande Prairie.. Now.. we have twice as much snow as we did have and it's -25 C ambient.. drifting so yeh.. it's a fair bit colder n that Stay safe.. Miriam could not have looked more thrilled about having to "train" the new guy Much love and Thanks so much for Sharing ps.. Cool tip Bob story.. when i worked in the artic we used a stove pipe with a short 90 degree upward spout to redirect heat from a "hottsy" up and onto an oil pan.. it's always the cold oil that makes for a rough start.. just do NOT shoot flames into that pipe lol

Only on a dairy farm you hear the farmers say winter is the slow time of the year. But still have to take care of the cattle the same as in the summer. Then things take longer to do because of the cold weather.then instead of doing field work you try to get the maintenance done on the machinery and what was put off in the barn. Then if it snows you have to move the snow so you can get the day to day things done. For some reason I don't think it's the same when a cash crop farmer says winter is the slow time of the year. Lol

Hey Jan not trying to show hate or anything but those new tires on the loader are not the best for in the winter when it is icy and snowpacked.. anyway that's what we found.. you need diamond shaped radials cause they have more rubber on the ground versus a bulge in the middle..

I think part of the issues working on machinery is waiting for parts. A shop only has so much room if you fill it up there's no room for emergency fixes. Does the new hires have a choice on possiblely being recorded?.

Hey love the channel you some of the best camera and drone work around, kind off a bummer all the breaks but better than I would do. Just a quick suggestion you guys outta rebush both the pay loader arms, pretty easy to do while they still have some life left in them but long expensive project if you wait till they are worn through and need welded and line bored back to spec, farming fixing and fabricating did a episode or two on rebushing their pay loader

Is your farm looking to change crops to ones that might sell in Europe? Or Mexico?what farm associations do you belong to that are advocating on your behalf?
