I do like how Valet Pro are kind of no nonsense just solid products 👍🏼 Citrus Bling I always thought was an odd name for a QD but found it to be a ‘proper’ QD with a little bit of cleaning ability and easy to use, I also like that they give a dilution for using as clay lube to save you buying another product.

I really am not a fan of any tyre gel and spray can tyre foams get onto the wheel attracting dust and dirt, unless you have a mask over the wheel. There was a product in the 1970s called "Tyre Slik" which was colourless and came in a 250ml rectangular tin can and was applied with a sponge, that was superb and gave a clean matt/satin black finish.

How do you find storing your detailing chemicals during this very cold winter snap? Do you worry about them freezing up and diminishing in performance? I store mine in an outside lockup but always fret over them with how much some of them cost. 🥶
@TheValetPRO2 жыл бұрын
Hello Ash, I know this question was directed at Paul, But I hope the follow is of interest. Most products are going to be fine in the cold. Detergents can go cloud if they get cold but if you warm them up there is no damage. The products that your have issues with are emulsion. This is because the water content can be frozen out of the mix and the only way to get the product to combine again is via a high shear mixer. There are two types of emulsion the milky type or micro emulsions which are transparent. So its is best to keep quick detailers, spray sealants, Water based tyre dressing and product alike in a warm location. You can contact the manufacturers of the products you have to see what there storage recommendations are too. If you have any ValetPRO products we would be happy to advise. Anyway hope this helps.

I can never understand why people don't just blanket the shampoo straight over the car trust me it's way way slicker than from shampoo from the bucket When it comes to the shampoo stage I still have a bucket with shampoo in and have 6 or 7 mitts I then have an empty 2nd bucket I rinse out each mitt instead of the 2 bucket method as imo its much much more cleaner and safer I put each used mitt into said empty bucket and once I've used all mitts i rinse them into empty bucket and you've got 6 clean mitts again and doesn't take long to fully rinse out the noddle mitts The 2 bucket method is overrated and does drag muck back into your wash bucket eventually

Great job, I can tell you're still a beginner, you start at the bottom and then work your way up. But that doesn't make any sense you should start from the top and work your way down to prevent extra dirt getting to the surface you just cleaned. Just a DIY guy by the way.
@PaulDoldenDetails Жыл бұрын
I’ve been doing this for years ask or even watch any of the pro detailers there’s a reason for it and if it’s so you can see where your pressure washer has safety removed the products to give you the best possible results it’s not a hard rule but I and many others have found it a better way 👍🏻👍🏻
@Avelx Жыл бұрын
@@PaulDoldenDetails By that same logic, you can see where it has been at the bottom because it is muddier there. But when you go up the panel it's the exact same thing? At the top of the panel, it's cleaner so you wouldn't know where it goes. Also as you do a touchless wash with soap (with colour) after jetting down it wouldn't really matter as then you know you've contacted that part. However from the bottom up you could leave mud and contaminants that could lead to your paint getting scratched.
