The bluegill cannibal reminded me of a time I was fishing with my nephews. One of them hooked a bluegill in the eye. It's eye unfortunately popped out as a result of the hook removal. The bluegill itself escaped back into the water.They decided to see if anything would go for the eye. They then caught the same bluegill within one minute on it's own eye.

@imnotimportant7 жыл бұрын
I have caught bluegill on cutbait when I have ran out of bait and didn't want to go home lol. They really don't care what it is as long as it fits in their mouth and tastes like meat. I think your tail-less bluegill was probably someone's bait at one time.A lot of people cut the tails off when using them for bass/catfish so they don't swim away as fast when a fish gets after them.

I think ur the only KZbinr that says the scientific name of the fish but still cool
@extremephillyfishing8 жыл бұрын
+Ricardo Perdomo Heh. Thanks! The main reason why I say the scientific names of the fishes is because the crew here can be global. In other words, I may have people from outside the USA watching my videos. For example...here in the USA, everyone knows the Bluegill. However, for a person in Africa, what would a Bluegill be called?! What if I caught something very similar to a Bluegill in France, but in France we call it "Crapet?" How do I find out if a Crapet is the same as Bluegill?! To facilitate the search, the scientific names exist! You can type in "Lepomis macrochirus" on a database and the database can show you how that fish is called in different languages (www.fishbase.org/ComNames/CommonNamesList.php?GenusName=Lepomis&SpeciesName=macrochirus&ID=3375&stockcode=3571). The scientific names are UNIVERSAL. A Crapet is a Lepomis macrochirus, just like a Bluegill is a Lepomis macrochirus, and a ブルーギル in Japan is ALSO a Lepomis macrochirus. You see? Heh.

on your multi species rod what line test you use? is a 15 lb test fine with a 5'6 medium spinning rod?
@buttpoopb81858 жыл бұрын
15 pound is far too heavy, for multi species angling unless you are targeting bigger fish the type of stuff this guy uses is probably a light or ultra light rod and 4-8 pound line. It is a really enjoyable way to fish for many of the species we catch around southeast PA

@extremephillyfishing8 жыл бұрын
+Gaige Jacobs Good assumption, but the fish at 17:32 was definitely a Lepomis cyanellus X Lepomis macrochirus hybrid. The scientific proof is in the yellow coloration at the end of its soft dorsal, anal, and caudal fins. A hybrid between a Sunfish (Lepomis spp.) and a Warmouth (Lepomis gulosus) would have a red coloration on its soft dorsal fin and caudal fins, and perhaps a bit of white/yellow on its anal fin. Sorry about my incorrect spelling, But Scott C there are a few country's in the US of A that its illegal to chum. Chumming can be very dangerous because of sharks or other dangerous species.

*chumming* is certainly illegal in certain states, Timmy. Thankfully, chumming is legal in PA, NJ, DE, and NY. Thus, I have nothing to worry about. Tight lines and thanks for watching!

+melonbarmonster For one thing, I can't change my accent! I can, however, improve my English pronunciation. I constantly apologize to my subscribers for my poor pronunciation, since English is my 4th language. But we live and learn, right? If you keep following the Channel, you will come to realize that the accent will always be there, but the English will eventually get better! :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!
