Super cool plant mail for sure AND risky but kudos for rolling that dice!! 🙌Just ordered a gloriosum 😆 we're all looking forward to updates on acclimating and potting/staking them up! Thanks for sharing, do you mind sharing if you currently use a humidifier? Happy planting! 💦🌱💫

Ooo a gloriosum was one of the first plants I imported. It's an incredible plant. I hope you love it!! I am honestly super lazy with refilling the humidifiers that I have throughout my house but I do have a hydrometer in each room to keep track of the humidity levels (it usually stays around 40-50%). I do have a humidifier in my greenhouse that I always keep filled so the tent can stay around 80% humidity 🥰

Yes, sooo looking forward to our first baby crawler, my girlfriend and I just moved 200+ plants from a place in Boston that was consistently 60-70% w/o a humidifier and the new place ummmm hydrometer read 38% 😬 after watering it rose up to 43% 😲 80% is soooo ideal!! I really hope we do well raising the new planty! Don't have any anthuriums yet but after your video, soooo inspired, thanks again, cheers to more plants!! 💦🌱💫

I've been ordering plants this winter, they all arrived fine, a couple came with heat packs a couple didn't. I'm in Las Vegas though so it's not cold over here. That crystallinum looks great, so many growth points!

Idk if you remember my ordering issue (3 plants that also took ages to arrive), but those plants eventually arrived about one month and a half ago. The lemon lime philodendron, already in an appropriately sized pot, looked pretty nice (a little stressed out from the exhausting journey ofc), so did the cuttings from the ZZ Raven with nice thick n junky roots and the ric rac cactus cuttings looked ok I guess. They didn't have ANY roots, since the seller sent it away right after cutting them off I suppose, except for some aereal roots. And when I'm telling you that I took the absolute best care of all of them, everything and even more you should do when ordering plants, I mean it! But they all (almost) died!!!! Like the zz was looking great for like 2 weeks, but all of a sudden it rotted away soooo quickly! I took as many healthy cuttings as I could and took good care of them (put some in water and some in soil directly), but they also died off just a few days later. The lemon lime perked up a little bit at first, until it didn't anymore and just out of nowhere started becoming all droopy and sad, loosing one leaf after another. Ofc I instantly took some cuttings of her as well and put them in water, but only one is left of those already. The mother plant also has only one really sad looking leaf left and I don't think the roots are even existing anymore. I feel like, I'm not good with philodendrons (although they're known as "easy, beginner-friendly" plants and I'm not a beginner anymore at all), because I used to have a philodendron brasil some years ago and it literally died the exact same way, also out of the freaking blue! I don't know, what I'm doing wrong?! And well regarding the ric rac cactus (which cost me 100€ :'-) ), I put some cuttings in water, where the cuttings themselves literally started to turn into mushy things with no roots, and the ones I put into soil haven't done anythings yet ofc, but they're also not looking great. As I said, before purchasing the plants, I looked up all of them and how to care best for them and how to propagate them and I did all of that, I did exactly what you should do with those plants, but they just died like that, without giving me any clue what the possible reasons could've been and I am SO heartbroken and frustrated >:(

Great Haul Madison. I especially liked the Red Crystalinum. Beautiful 😍. I tried to do a plant ban until March but not sure how well that is going to worked 😆. I have resolved to not buying if I don't feel confident about them shipping well.

I ordered in Dec against my better judgement and although planterina packed them so well the Hoyas still suffered. I got a Rosita and wayetii and they died. I paid for winter packaging and still so waiting til Spring to repurchase.

How are these plants doing? What state are you in that you need a permit? It is my understand you don’t need one unless you are getting 12 or more plants.
@planttherapii
@planttherapii Жыл бұрын
Most of them are doing really well! I'm in Colorado. I was told by a guy working at the usda that it's a new requirement for importing plants. I thought it was so weird too because I had imported a couple of other times before and I didn't need a permit. I think a permit for any number of plants started being a requirement sometime late last year.

@@planttherapii Hmmm 🤔. Is there a fee to apply? I’m assuming it’s not a rule per state, but for the whole entire United States.
