Like the proverb "горе не море: выпьешь до дна" which means that every grief ends one day, and when it comes to Russia.. I can't help but think he tries to soothe his never-ending painful loneliness and coldness repeating these words to himself.. I think Russia is misunderstood, but he truly is a dark character. He does say in "Pechika Light My Heart" that he does like making people feel scared through partitioning. He was constantly bullied by the Teutonic Knights-- that is to say, Prussia, and has never really made any friends. I'd think that he's upset at the world for leaving him alone in the cold, and has a lot of resent. However, he uses a kind mirage just to get around everyone, but in the end he still scares them.
