Nice vid that’s a fantastic day of steelheading I’d be ecstatic with that many bites on a full day much less quick afternoon trip!! What size jigs do you typically use? I’m assuming 1/8th or 1/16?

Yes both of those sizes work great for me!

I'm a crippled old fart a bit southof Ludington. I've hobbled out to a pond with my teenage son, he caught a 16" largemouth and decided he likes fishing. I hope to be able to catch some steelhead, I really like frying up pretty much anything with an adipose fin, even bullheads.

I wish I knew all of the fishing things. I used to fish with my dad but he always did things for me. (Bait, lures etc.) So now I'm trying to learn because I moved out to the middle of nowhere michigan on the rez with lakes everywhere. So I'm just learning as I go. Thanks for the vids for helping!

You’re on the right track doing your research! You can’t watch too many videos on fishing. Just start from the basics and work your way up. Time on the water is key to catching fish and learning!

Do you recommend a fixed bobber or a slider for waxies on a jig? I plan to use this on a smaller creek and river on the lower east side.

I like the small fixed bobber in water less then 7ft deep normally.
