tn1fishinfool thanks for the comments. I have caught some good ones on the TN river but no 50s... We use some pretty big gizzard shad in winter. The trout we use are store bought at Hammonds Bait and Tackle on Lake Lanier and we try to get the bigger ones out of the tank. I don't think they care if it is a brown or rainbow honestly! When they eat they eat! Tight Lines!

I Live and fish tennessee, I love using trout for monster striper fishing. Put 4 over 50lb. in the boat this summer on trout ( 18 to 20inch bait ) I have seen 20lb. striper caught on 3lb. trout, If you think your bait is to big its just right. Do you think brown or rainbows are best?
