What kind of paint was this exactly? That tan is perfect as well as the finish not being too flat or too glossy.

Since black is not a normal color in nature, I would have used deep woods earth instead of black, otherwise I generally like the overall look....probably would have used more rubber bands too. Hate that crappy loud music, would rather have had a voice over explanation of what you are doing and why. And Dude, use a paint respirator if you gonna paint indoors! You painting yer lungs!

Dogman we throw them all back with exception of a couple here and there to have mounted or an occasional dinner of striper fingers. Let them go and let them grow is our motto!

What boat is better the SeaArk or G3 for the money?
@h20hawgs6 жыл бұрын
James there is not a lot of cost difference if you have the seaark built the way you want it. As far as the build quality the SeaArk is hands down a better built boat. To compare the two is like comparing a small 4wd like a ford ranger as opposed to an F250... SeaArk is much better built. The best thing to do is go for a ride in both and that will decide that for yourself. I like both boats. For the money definetly the Ark!

Reel ?
@h20hawgs6 жыл бұрын
Adin actually that reel is an old okuma I believe. It was the oldest reel in the boat with old line also. All the others had new line and were newer rod and reels. That’s how it always happens. We were lucky to land that fish honestly. I’ll take luck any day of the week.

I would've liked to get a closer look at how the shad was hooked. But nice video
@h20hawgs6 жыл бұрын
XV it had a nose hook and a drop treble about 8” off the main hook. Treble was hooked though his bottom side in his ass and back out. They seem to hook up more often when the treble is on the under side of the shad instead of the topside behind the dorsal fin. Just in my experience. People claim both ways are best just whatever works for you at the time.

@@h20hawgs just saw this reply, thank you for the response. I'm in socal, I can only dream of stripers that size. Where I'm at they only get 10-30 lbs. 30 being very very rare

Psh thats a baby lol
@h20hawgs6 жыл бұрын
Mark it’s a great fish for Lake Lanier. There are lots of better places that you can catch them that size every year like the TN river system. Lanier seems to be good a few years then it goes to crap a couple years. It depends on a lot of factors but lately Lanier has not been producing any real big fish. That should change back in another couple years.
