Great footage man! I got out from S. Garbage just before you started filming, I recognize a couple of faces as they were headed down the staircase. I surfed this spot before the stairs were put in at Ladera St. - VERY scary at times , going up or down. Hubby Seth poaching wife's account.

Damn… that’s some time ago. They did have a repair I believe in 2018 due to cliffs collapsing, but they’re still open. Hopefully you’re still out there surfing regardless of your location.

@@smolick1 Twas about 1961 . I was 10 yrs. old with a very heavy 9' ("short board")Hobie. My older brother said , "Ya wanna surf out there (South Garbage was 4' - 5' and FUN looking with 3 people out !) ? Start climbing down ." Now , at 71 yrs. or so , after 50+ years of participating in such a wonderful pursuit I have NO lumbar region left - but I still check the waves that are 5 blocks away almost daily. Hubby Seth poaching.

Surfed South garbage that sunset and it was firing. Choppy but mental, then I nabbed a bomb right all the way through and got stuck in the rip, all the way to ab, paddled back to sub and lucked into a fantastic right and mad aerial flyaway kickout

I do not understand why you always find North Garbage in cliffs videos and never good videos of actual good waves down at AB and Nubes a few hundred yards south. Boggles my mind on this one. I started surfing those spots back in the 60's and through the 70's whenever there were wave before moving to Santa Cruz, and I live in the Islands now still doing it everyday.. If you think it is some big secret or something you better go back and start trashing all those years it was covered in the mags back then. What an idiot.
