A wee tip for you. In freezing weather, you should carry your water bottle/s upside down - the mouthpiece facing the ground. Why? Because water always freezes at the surface first. If you carry them with the mouthpiece up, any ice formation will block the mouthpiece and could prevent you from getting a drink.

Bannock is yeast-free: flour, salt, baking powder & water, and lard (aka tenderflake, is shelf stable) for frying in, plus whatever u want to put on ur bannock, honey-butter, jam etc
@chsyankКүн бұрын
Hint for bread. You can make the dough days ahead. Just add the flour yeast and water, and stick it into the frig. It is already mixed and ready to bake into pizza or bread.
@Rook986Күн бұрын

Careful when shaking the trees the top don't come off and get ya . Also if you build a wall around your fire , just one on back of fire or 3 sided one is even better it will reflect the heat to inside your shelter much better .

That was a fun video! It’s no small feat to do some rustic winter camping (fellow Canadian). And you made it look Hygge! Next time you could build a reflector wall behind the fire to redirect more the fire heat into your shelter. Might make for a more comfortable night. (Also, losing more heat through your head is myth. Any exposed skin will lose heat. 😉)
