Being a guy who always catches fish watching the young ones catch them is the most satisfying feeling. Man I love taking people who never fished and they for the first time start catching and they get HOOKED. That’s the best.

This time of year, go over by Silcox and fish close to the island, shallow. Make sure Bills boathouse is behind you. Consistent 2 to 3 pounders. But shhhh.....don't tell anyone.

I'm not sure where in western washington you are. If you ever decide to head up to Cavanaugh, just go directly across from the boat launch, and troll to the first island. That's the best spot. Super easy.

@@Diesel_bomber Thanks for the info! I’m in southwest Washington but I might have to drive up and give it a try 👍

@zachstockingadventures yeah, I'm up in the north. I love the cascades, and the foothills for hunting and fishing. The majority of my favorite childhood memories are from the darrington area. Back when everything wasn't gated off. The nice thing about Cavanaugh is if it's a slow day, then there's always perch in mcmurry on the way home.

@@Diesel_bomber That’s awesome! I remember the good old days when there were no gates and you could just drive up into the woods
